Each spring and fall season, LSO registers over 1000 Lakota area soccer players from ages 4-18 for our Recreational Soccer program. LSO is a member district of Soccer Association for Youth (SAY) which emphasizes enjoyment and fair, balanced competition above the importance of winning. Participation is open to all children, regardless of ability. Teams are established each season by a random draw. Tryouts are not permitted nor are special requests by parents or coaches for a particular team assignment.
Teams in the Instructional (U6), Passers (U8) and Wings (U10) divisions will compete in LSO in-house leagues. LSO teams in the Strikers (U12), Kickers (U14), Minors (U16) and Seniors (U19) divisions compete in area traveling leagues with the other member clubs of SAY North.
