LSO Board Elections
4th
Monday in September

Every year, elections are held for various positions on
the Board of the Lakota Sports Organization.
Candidates
for the Board, who have never held an LSO Board
position, should submit a resume to the current LSO
Board at least 30 days prior to the election day, the
4th Monday in September.
Candidates are also subject to a criminal
background check.

are the various volunteer positions on the LSO Board.

President
|
Responsible for overseeing all
aspects of LSO. Sets yearly agenda, establishes
organizational goals, and identifies people to
accomplish goals. Responsible for making sure
budgets are set and expenditures are not exceeded. (2 year term)

|
|
|
|
Vice
President
|
Responsible to get more people
involved in contributing time and resources to LSO
projects. Leads
annual fund raisers.
(2 year term)
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Secretary
|
Responsible to attend and take
notes at all LSO meetings.
Creates meeting agenda and informs all Board
members of meeting.
(2 year term)

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Treasurer
|
Responsible to oversee all moneys
and securities belonging to LSO.
Keeps an accurate record of ALL financial
activities and prepares the annual budget.
Responsible for filing all federal and state
tax returns. (2
year term)

|
|
|
|
|
Sport
Commissioners
|
Each individual sport has a
Commissioner who is responsible for the overall
execution of activities that support LSO’s efforts
to provide a sport program for Soccer, Baseball,
Softball and Flag Football.

|
|
|
|
Field
& Maint. Coordinator
|
Responsible for managing and
improving field conditions at all fields used by LSO
sports, with special attention given to Walter J. Long
and the Yankee Road fields.
Coordinates and participates in the annual
Field Day Cleanup.
(1 year term)

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Sponsors
Coordinator
|
Obtain new sponsors, contact
existing sponsors, and maintain records of all
sponsors including status of payments.
(1 year term)

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Concessions
Coordinator
|
Create and manage concession stands at LSO properties.
(1 year term)
