West Chester / Liberty
Little League
LSO Baseball is excited to now
be West Chester / Liberty Little League. By affiliating with
Little League, LSO can now better serve the children of West
Chester and Liberty Townships.
The organizers of Little
League recognized early on that the fundamental preparation
for adult life can be accomplished on the baseball diamond.
It is through athletics that youngsters learn their own
strengths and develop skills, the meaning of sportsmanship
and cooperation, the essence of competition and the
qualities that constitute effective leadership. In Little
League, children learn about character, courage and loyalty.
And in learning these values, Little Leaguer’s develop
citizenship, discipline, teamwork skills and physical
well-being.
Little league strives to
ensure that players have fun in a healthy, safe way.
Children learn that they learn winning is but one goal among
many. Children also learn that they learn in baseball as in
life, wins, losses, hits and strikeouts are all inevitable.
Little League stresses team achievements rather than
individual accomplishment.
To accomplish its goals, the
Little League organization protects the integrity of each
player, each team, and each community. Little League
programs operate within specific boundaries for each
league’s territory, to permit participation by all eligible
youngsters within the boundaries. Please note that players
must live within the Lakota School district to play for West
Chester / Liberty Little League.
